Remote Loan Payments

If you can't easily get to one of our over 5,000 branches nationwide with our shared branching program,  make a loan payment remotely!  There are two options available:

1.  GenFed's remote loan payment service gives you the ability to schedule a payment from a checking account at another financial institution.  You can even receive reminders that your payment is due.  You can schedule automatic payments on your due date for the full payment amount or manually make full or partial payments as desired.  Payments are usually posted the next business day but can take longer depending on when the request is made.  Plus, make a payment with a debit card from another financial institution.

2.  GenFed has partnered with PayNearMe to accept cash deposits and loan payments at a number of community merchants for same day processing to your GenFed account or loan.  Search for a location.  Merchants include the following:

• Walmart
• CVS Pharmacy
• 7-Eleven
• Casey’s General Store
• Family Dollar
• Ace Cash Express
• Dollar General.

There is no charge to use this service and you should follow these steps:

1. Contact your local branch for a QRC code which they can text, email or print for you.
2. Once you have a code you can use it multiple times to make payments to the same loan or deposits to your account.
3. Check which location is the most convenient for you here.
4. Present the QRC code at the register and make your desired payment or deposit amount in cash.
5. Wait for confirmation of received payment from PayNearMe (usually received within minutes).
